Here are a few of my DOUBLE-CROSS favorites:
Inflation — Every day “raising a family” household costs
TRUMP blamed Biden for food price inflation, and rises in living cost affordability over all.
But what did he do? TRUMP tacked his Tariffs on to just about everything — imports from our allies as well as every one else; these tariffs piled on to the cost of food and fuel. We pay the tariffs every time we buy something … tariff is just another word for tax.
Cost of living prices zoom up. Average orange juice prices are up 25% and ground beef prices are up 17% from January 2025. June 24 —Today’s mid-grade gas price is $4.873 and diesel fuel is $5.853.
Forever Wars
TRUMP campaigned against so-called “forever wars” that he blamed on Democrats; Never mind that Bush as well as Obama, TRUMP himself, and Biden have fought them.
Now, TRUMP has started his own forever wars, pairing up with Netanyahu, against Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. He kicked off his war on Iran with no exit strategy and no permission from the American people. Trump can’t figure out how to end it. The Republican majority in Congress ignores its duties. The “Iran Cost Tracker” reports $51 billion spent so far.
War in the Middle East, The Guardian
Do tell me. If you hated your country’s leader but another country bombed your house and your kids’ schools, would you be grateful? I think not. Regime change is not the way to find peace. Nor is it a way to solve problems.
Reapportionment
TRUMP is trying to change the rules for fair elections; he demanded Texas reapportion its Congressional seats, giving Latinos more favored districts and theoretically, Republicans an even bigger advantage.
TRUMP followed up by sending ICE to capture and push out people of color, many of whom are Latino and the very people who voted for him in Texas in 2024.
Democrats play self-defense. Virginia votes to reapportion. Republican judge says no.
Ghislaine Maxwell
First, TRUMP’s minions pull Maxwell out of a New York hard-time prison “just to chat,” and she ends up in a soft “no walls” prison in Texas where she can go into town to get her hair done.
Now, some Republicans want to pardon her for her “work” as a partner with Epstein.

There are three million pages! of meetings, records, names, and photos, but no charges, under strict direction from TRUMP’s White House, the Justice Department says there is “not enough evidence.”
Make America Sick Again
TRUMP’s Make America Sick Again campaign involves fired researchers, allowed HHS Secretary Kennedy to work against vaccines — see the growing measles epidemics for how this is going, and cut $1.1 trillion dollars over the next decade from Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.
Maybe this doesn’t qualify as a double-cross to voters but it certainly puts our kids at risk.
