"Claude" does its job, but ...
Hegseth, backed by Trump, wants No Limits!
Meanwhile, we monitor the IT systems and ongoing efforts to change their limits.
Start by wondering how the USDA’s use of Anthropic's artificial intelligence is coming along. Or, if you prefer, be specific. Ask about the progress on “One Farmer, One File.” There will be no response. Still curious? Follow the trail.
This “trail” leads to Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who wants greater control over Anthropic’s artificial intelligence tool, “Claude.” Hegseth is supported by Trump, and their ongoing military dispute… just imagine?
Has Hegseth ever been wrong? But “Backed by Trump,” he’s untouchable. They want to ban Anthropic contracts nationwide because Anthropic has limits on “Claude.”
The Pentagon has blacklisted Anthropic, citing it as a “supply chain risk.” At the same time, the US military is using “Claude” in the Iran/Middle East WAR.
Anthropic is the developer and owner of “Claude.” According to multiple reports, “Claude” has an ongoing, major success role in the attacks on Iran, and the US military in the Middle East continues to use it.
Anthropic is reported to be trying to de-escalate the Hegseth challenge as it continues to defend its artificial intelligence systems, especially “Claude.” President Trump is furious — but that's nothing new — claiming that Anthropic has refused to allow certain uses of its AI tools.
According to AXIOS, Anthropic’s refusal appears to be based on concerns that the Pentagon or other parts of the federal government could use “Claude’s” abilities for “mass domestic surveillance and the development of weapons that fire without human involvement.” Anthropic insists on keeping its safety tools on. OpenAI employs the same safety tools.
STOP! THINK!!! Has our military ever made a mistake? If a general dares to offer a different concern to Hegseth, the general gets fired. Hegseth knows all.
NOW, THINK AGAIN!!! What if mistakes are made, and “Claude” was turned loose with weapons that had no human involvement against the American population, or against anywhere in the Middle East, or anywhere?
Would the weapons be running wild?
How long could they go before a population was obliterated? Well, would this be a tool in winning a war — just kill everybody?
Or, dial down a bit. What would happen if ICE had control of Anthropic’s “Claude”?
I don’t even want to imagine.
Meanwhile, the “One Farmer, One File” project is caught in the crosshairs as the USDA tries to develop it. “One Farmer …” is only one of many projects, government-wise, that are caught in the trap. For “One Farmer …” Palantir is doing the heavy lifting, but it’s a partner with Anthropic.

The high-level argument comes from the Pentagon. Secretary Pete Hegseth, backed by Trump, wants more power to use the AI tool, but its owner/developer is unwilling to grant it. “Unwilling” is a good thing in this case.
